J. Washburn Gardner brings a unique and lyrical voice to the singer/songwriter realm. Drawing inspiration from his adventures and misadventure in love, friendship, family and pet ownership, he writes and sings songs of love, pain, joy, and coffee.
J. Washburn has lived in southeast Michigan most of his life and currently heralds from Ypsilanti but has roots that span from the Monadnock region of southern New Hampshire to the Puget Sound communities of Tacoma and Seattle, Washington.
A 30+ year choral music veteran and classically trained tenor, his taste and training in music is varied and he brings that forth in his songs which appeal to a varied population. Sometimes cute, sometimes sad,
J. Washburn is always pleasing to the ears.
1/22/2016 Hello all!
I've updated the website to include my latest recordings which can be downloaded from Bandcamp. It's been a busy start to 2016. I've had or have a show in 8 of the first 10 weekends of the year.
I'm still very excited about my lunch time series I host at Carrigan Cafe in Saline MI on the 1st Saturday of the Month. I have a different musician friend join me and perform. We're there from about 11:00 AM until about 1:00 PM. I'm very excited about the guests who have been, and will be, joining me for this.
2/6/2016 - Joanna and the Jaywalkers (Joanna and April)
3/5/2016 - Shelley Catalan
If you are interested in joinging me some month, let me know! You can find my email or Facebook contact info in the contact section of this site.
Stay tuned for more!
